I wonder why Mediabase still has Despacito so low, while it was already up to #2 in Radio Songs on the refreshed chart. For whatever reason, Mediabase does not include airplay from Latin formats like Billboard and Kworb do. |

This might give an indication though of "what could have been" if the Hot 100 was a pure popularity chart (which obviously it is not) These songs remained popular long after becoming ineligible for the Hot 100, but not popular enough to re-enter and these are the ones that did it the longest |

Had a modest chart run on the Hot 100, 29 weeks, peaked at #7 and last charted 8/14/93
The Recurrent run started 8/21/93
and ended in May 1996 after 127 non consecutive weeks
Another example of the Hot 100 does not tell the whole story on how popular a song is

Looking at the refreshed kworb airplay daily chart, it looks like Despacito would pass That's What I Like sometime next week. It also looks like I'm the One has stalled. I'm glad that Believer has made to #9. Wild Thoughts is at #17 and will probably end the tracking week there due to the relative large between it and the songs above it. Versace on the Floor is starting to climb up at #72.
